Collection Services

Shanks provides a variety of containers and collection services for removing all varieties of waste and recyclable materials safely and hygienically.

	Wheelie bins Our wheelie bins are tough, mobile and easy to clean. They come in a range of sizes and are suitable for a variety of wastes. What’s more, they are easy to load and have lightweight lockable wheels and lids.
	Bulk waste Shanks has a variety of skips and containers for removing and recycling large volumes of waste. They are ideal for bulk recycling of segregated waste from building, refurbishment and demolition sites. Where possible, the waste is taken to a materials recycling facility (MRF) for processing. The size of the containers means haulage journeys are kept to a minimum, cutting costs and benefiting the environment.
	Front loaded containers For lightweight wastes where storage is a premium, Shanks offers a range of front loaded containers. The bins are made out of tough steel, with lockable lids if required, and are easy to load and emptied on site.
	Rear loaded containers Shanks’ rear loaded containers can be accessed simply by either a sloping front or back-facing door, and are emptied on site. They are available in a range of sizes and are ideal for lightweight industrial wastes from offices, factories and warehouses.
	Static compaction A static compactor is an efficient, and environmentally sound, solution for large quantities of low density, high volume waste or recyclate. Material is compacted at a ratio of more than 4:1 into a container that is taken away for recycling or disposal.
